Cross-Strait and Overseas Student Institute was founded in 2013, and renamed as Southeast Asian, Cross-Strait and Overseas Student Institute in 2017. Our mission is to extend and develop the affairs related to Mainland China degree-seeking students and exchange students, study abroad students and international students; monitor and manage the finances of related on-campus units; assist in handling affairs for related instruction.

In light of the declining birthrate in Taiwan, the Southeast Asian, Cross-Strait and Overseas Student Institute was established to recruit Mainland China students and international students.

At present, the Southeast Asian, Cross-Strait and Overseas Student Institute is a virtual academy; some related academic affairs are supported by other departments. The Institute is not only responsible for coordinating the administrative affairs for Mainland China and international students, but also promotes and plans for recruitment in accordance with university policies.
